A. has been operating since June 2002 with state-of-the-art washing technology made by ANDAR (New Zealand). It stands out due to the continuous improvement of the wool washing process that it provides and its environmental friendliness, embodied in the implementation of new procedures and equipment. Têxtil Manuel Rodrigues Tavares, S. A. (TMRT) takes pride in the total satisfaction of its customers. The implementation of improvement initiatives is its work tool and it always strives to comply with legal requirements that apply to its activity. We should highlight the improvement achieved in wool quality through constant monitoring by way of lab tests and research into new procedures, as well as our concern for the environment, which is reflected in both the separation of various residues and the biological treatment of water resulting from the washing of wool in our own waste-water treatment station. The scouring plant has also implemented a Quality Management System certified by SGS – ICS in accordance with the NP EN ISO 9001:2000 standard, which has been recognised by our customers as a guarantee for the conformity of the services that we provide.
